Well well, more censorship threats if I don't take your side and agree you have the right to choke off the free speech rights of people who do support Daniel Martin. I DARE you to ban me. You do it, I'll have this blog flagged and have YOU banned and this blog DELETED. Two can play this game. I do not tolerate people like you who trample over the rights of others at your sole whim. That has to be stopped. And I will stop you, whatever it takes.

Comment on Oklahoma Trooper Daniel Martin Suspended

hmm...let's see...an anonymous commenter tells me, "You're lucky you hide where you're from so well." Oh, I get it now! I see you are a comedian. That is just too much! Please stop, I can't get anything done because I am laughing so hard. And that part about you demanding an apology - that is absolutely hilarious! Do you have a nightclub circuit you travel?

If you can't figure out what the sarcasm is meant to convey, then please allow me to spell it out more clearly - get yourself educated and get serious or you will be banned from here as well. I don't have time for your nonsense.
Comment on Oklahoma Trooper Daniel Martin Suspended

You're lucky you hide where you're from so well. That comment of yours I seriously would file suit against you for, for libel and attempted defamation of character. Also, I want to say this as a substantive answer to the premise of this entire page. I don't like what Trooper Martin did, what he did disgraces not just all of the law enforcement community but all emergency service workers, paid and volunteer. I'm a volunteer with a small volunteer fire department in upstate New York. But what you did in censoring those who support Trooper Martin was grossly unconstitutional and a violation of who knows how many international legal documents, such as the UN Declaration of Rights and for Europeans reading this, the European Convention of Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Even sleaze like Daniel Martin and his clique have the right of speaking out and being heard, even by those who don't want to hear it. Sorry Mr. Mansoor, you lose this battle. I have legal and historical precedent on my side, so you SO badly lose. Admit defeat already, apologize to Scott, reinstate ALL his posts and apologize to me and maintain everything I write, critical of you and your position on the rights of people on this blog.

Comment on Oklahoma Trooper Daniel Martin Suspended

You really should get off those street drugs, they're bad for you.
KM
Comment on Oklahoma Trooper Daniel Martin Suspended

Karl, contrary to your belief, you are as much bound by the First Amendment to accept and post Scott's comment as any government agency. You do NOT have any power to disregard Scott's freedom of speech rights. They attach to you through the Due Process clause of the US Constitution's 14th Amendment. I'm an undergraduate student of the State University of New York. I recommend to Scott he get a court order or subpoena to command you to appear before him. For your censoring dissenting opinions, you will be held to answer. I would readily render judgment against you and order you to cease and desist now and in the future from censoring or otherwise restricting any posts, even if you don't like them. You would be ordered to accept and POST EACH and EVERY post that comes your way. And just for punishment and teaching you humility, I would also order you to pay Scott and others you wronged some serious financial penalties. You need to be humbled, Mr. Mansoor.

Comment on how many people are shot by police in the U.S. annually?

Joe, are you kidding me? He walked up to the STATIONARY car and shot the girl through the drivers side window THREE TIMES. I feel justified in considering that excessive force. This man should have gone to jail. That was cold blooded murder pure and simple.
The police are NOT always right.
Police are trained from the get go that their lives are more important than the rest of us. They are taught when in doubt shoot to kill. I am not a criminal...I do however as a cab driver on occasion exceed the speed limit...when I get pulled over I do not appreciate a cop sidling up to my car with his gun half out of the holster. I DON'T EVEN OWN A GUN. Why should I have to be fearful of a cop with a nervous trigger finger? Over a speeding ticket. It shows great lack of respect for the tax paying American citizens who are paying their salaries. I know here where I live, I don't see the "protect and serve" motto on the cop cars anymore like I used to. I really don't think many police forces feel that that is their job anymore.
Just my opinion...

Comment on Contrasts, similarities, this blog, and my book

Thanks for stopping by. Writing is a little slow at the moment but I'm hoping to get back up to speed shortly. Glad to hear that you are keeping tabs on your local events! That is what is needed from many more people.
KM
Comment on Contrasts, similarities, this blog, and my book

I can't wait to read your books either! I hope it's going well.

I agree on the changes of legislation being needed to encourage transparency, and accountability as my state, California, has some of the strictest laws.

My city's department of 400 officers has had five of them arrested since October 2008 including two on one day for different crimes. Child molestation, DV related assault, DUI, armed robberies and kidnapping and sexual assault under the color of authority. And none of them was reported publicly except that I received some tips during the holiday about officers getting arrested and booked in jail and while doing research, I uncovered the two during December and one last March. If several folks hadn't wanted people to know this had happened, it would have probably never come out for the latest arrests.

Only one officer arrested surprised me, as the others had trails of problems before their arrests but the department just wants to believe all their officers are not getting into trouble even though the neighborhoods where they are assigned know. Most aren't getting into trouble but some definitely are and unfortunately, I'm not sure my department's seen the last of this cluster of arrests. Lawsuits, grievances and claims for damages are up. Complaints are up. And I've been getting comments and emails from people concerned about what's been going on.

But I think education is very much the way to go, but it's sometimes hard to tell people things they don't want to hear or read about. People tend to get more involved when it happens to them or someone they know. Also education about action steps to take because people seem hesitant about knowing what to do.

Comment on Nick from Phoenix PD

Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
KM
