Baker’s future is now in the hands of City Manager Jim Hartmann, who announced he’s launched an independent investigation. When asked if Baker’s career was over, Hartmann said, "I'm not prepared to say that right now. We're looking at all the facts of the case. This is a very serious situation.”Yes it is a very serious situation. The rank-and-file needs an example to follow.

The case is very serious indeed. I chief of police arrested with DUI. You don't hear that very often. He was supposed to set an example in the community, it's bad for him now, it's bad for the police image and bad for the community.
